We got to work with Michael for our first Kickstarter project. I don’t think we could have asked for someone better. He was patient, thoughtful, creative, proactive and highly skilled at what he does. He became very curious to learn as much about our project as possible and I sensed that he got as excited about the purpose of the video as we did. The quality of his work was top notch and he always delivered on time as promised.

A big fan of the Holstee Manifesto, I was thrilled to work with the Holstee guys on their Kickstarter project. The Reclaim Frame (originally Reframe) had a lot going on. It was beautifully designed, made with re-purposed wood from Detroit and it was part of a greater effort by the Holstee guys to change the way we thought about greeting cards. There were so many great stories, but what made this frame more useful than a regular picture frame?

During the pre-production process, it became evident that the ability to slide cards in and out easily is what set it apart. The design made use easy and convenient. I wanted to explain that, without actually explaining it. And that’s how the opening sequence was born. It distilled the frame down to its simplest function within the first five seconds without one word letting the focus shift to the other great stories behind the frame. The Kickstarter went on to raise more $49,248.
